Wim Eringfeld will take office as managing director of consultancy firm Stec Groep at the end of August. Eringfeld, currently managing director of DHL Supply Chain in Germany, succeeds current director Peter van Geffen.
Eringfeld now owns the majority of shares in the consultancy firm. His arrival should give Stec Group a boost in the areas of international logistics, supply-chain, triple helix cooperation, location consultancy to DCs and regional economy.
"From my background, I know that there is a great need for new logistics capacity. The logistics sector is on the eve of major changes due to staff shortages and technological innovations. How do you deal with that? What is the best course of action? We can provide sound advice," Eringfeld says of Stec Group's proposition.
Eringfeld has been a 'silent' shareholder of Stec Groep for 20 years, and the incoming director has over 30 years of experience in logistics. Eringfeld studied economic geography in Nijmegen and then chose the logistics sector. In the nearly thirty years at DHL, he was closely involved in the development of the DHL real estate portfolio.
Peter van Geffen will step down as director at the beginning of 2019, after 20 years at Stec Group. Esther Geuting will remain director of innovation in the field of housing and area development, Evert-Jan de Kort partner in the field of business parks, retail, offices and regional economy.
