Foreign students are more likely than average to study logistics and supply chain management in the Netherlands. These students would often enter the Dutch labour market after completing their studies.
This is according to figures from Nuffic, the organisation for internationalisation in education. The percentage of international students in logistics and supply chain management programmes is 19.3 per cent and 10.9 per cent for university and hbo programmes, respectively. This is a small decrease compared to last year. Still, the average percentage of 13.8 per cent is higher than the average international students in the Netherlands (11.4 per cent). Students are said to particularly appreciate the high level of knowledge and good range of courses on offer.

Dutch logistics ambassadors
Conveniently, many international students enter the Dutch labour market after their studies, whether in an international position or not. Students who return to their home countries can also do something for logistics Netherlands in the future. Students return with Dutch knowledge. They end up in important positions in logistics and can thus bridge the gap as ambassadors of Dutch logistics.
