MotracLinde is to supply Defence with internal transport equipment. Over the next four years, large numbers of forklift trucks, pallet trucks, stackers and reach trucks will be delivered to the Royal Netherlands Army, Air Force, Navy and Marechaussee.
To this end, MotracLinde has signed an agreement with the Materiel Logistics Command of the Royal Army. Last year, the Materiel Logistics Command placed a public tender for a new cooperation partner. Besides modernising the fleet, sustainability and relieving Defence were important selection criteria. MotracLinde would then have won the contract based on the 'award by value method'.
Electrically powered trucks
The old diesel-powered transport equipment will make way for electrically powered transport in the coming years. MotracLinde will supply mostly electrically powered forklifts, pallet trucks, stackers and reach trucks, creating a sustainable fleet with greater uniformity.
Fleet management
MotracLinde will maintain the fleet through its own service network and active fleet management. "We will ensure that the logistics equipment is deployable for the next ten years and that defence can comply with diesel engine emission legislation," MotracLinde said in a press release.
