Property developer Gazeley is building three new warehouses in Venray with a total area of 83,000 square metres. This is Gazeley's first development project in the Netherlands since opening an office in Amsterdam last year.

The distribution centres are being built at Smakterheide business park in Venray. During construction, Gazeley is aiming for sustainability certification BREEAM Very Good. Gazaley moved into an office in Amsterdam last year with the intention of growing in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. The project in Venray is the first step towards this.

The property developer will deliver the premises in Venray in three phases. Phase one, a hall of approximately 2.3 hectares, is currently under construction and will be completed in August. A tenant has already been found for this phase. Logistics service provider Syncreon, which Gazeley has previously worked with in Europe, will occupy the premises in autumn 2019. Tenants have yet to be found for the two distribution centres to follow.
